Why Rooted Exists

"The true mark of Christianity on this earth is not a crown. It’s a cross."

The cross was inconvenient. It was messy. It was painful. I’m so thankful for the cross because without it we have nothing. The cross not only gives everything to us; it requires everything from us.
What does it require? We can sum it up in one word. Discipleship.

Discipleship is inconvenient. It should disrupt your schedule. It should throw you off kilter every once in a while. It should mess with your sleep, cause you to miss a meal or two, and lead you to walk away from some things in your life.
Discipleship literally means to become like Christ in every area of your life. And that’s what we intend to do on this Rooted journey.

What is Rooted?
It’s a discipleship journey we are embarking on together. We will meet in groups on a weekly basis and do book studies that will help us grow in our faith and put our roots down even deeper into God.

When do the Rooted Groups meet?
Several opportunities will be made available based on interest.
How long does the group last each week?
The discussion lasts for an hour.
What is the schedule?
Rooted will run from September through May and will cover three different books. There will be a break in the schedule between each book.
Session #1
Growing Up Spiritually by Kenneth E. Hagin
This session begins the week of September 8th and runs through the week of November 3rd.
Session #2
How You Can be Led by the Spirit of God by Kenneth E. Hagin
This session begins the week of January 5th and runs through the week of March 9th.
Session #3
The Believer’s Authority by Kenneth E. Hagin
This session begins the week of March 23rd and runs through the week of May 4th.
